Minister Lluka hosted Ghana’s ambassador, Salma Frances Mancell-Egalla, to discuss about economic cooperation

Prishtina, 11.06.2018 – The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana accredited to the Republic of Kosovo, Salma Frances Mancell-Egalla.

The meeting had an introductory character for both countries, and they agreed to met again in September and to also have a visit of Kosovo’s main businesses in Ghana.

Minister Lluka informed the Ghana diplomat with the overall economic developments in the country, with particular emphasis on the sectors covered by the Ministry of Economic Development, such as energy, mining and information technology.

The economic development minister informed Ambassador Mancell-Egalla on the economic resources and investment opportunities in the country, highlighting the measures the Government has taken to improve the institutional and legal framework to encourage foreign investment.

Minister Lluka expressed the readiness of Kosovo towards economic cooperation with Ghana in the areas of common interest, highlighting that diplomatic relations recently signed between the two countries open way towards this cooperation.

From her part, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana, Salma Frances Mancell-Egalla thanked Minister Lluka for his readiness for cooperation and at the same time expressed the willingness of the country she represents to deepen bilateral cooperation.
