Minister Lluka commits to a sustainable solution for publicly-owned enterprises

Prishtina, 27.10.2017 – The new composition of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Publicly Owned Enterprises, chaired by the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka, held its first meeting and reviewed and deliberated on a number of issues related to these enterprises.

During this meeting, the Inter-Ministerial Committee approved reports of POEs for 2015 and 2016, the name change from RWC Radoniqi in Gjakova to RWC Gjakova, ad establishment of the Publicly-Owned Enterprise “Multifunctional Centers” J.S.C. in Mitrovica.

As the Chair of this Committee, the Head of MED commented on the reports submitted by Publicly-Owned Enterprises and expressed his dissatisfaction with their performance, underlining that this matter will be treated with utmost seriousness in the days to come. Said reports were forwarded to the Government, which will define and identify problems in them and take relevant measures to mitigate them.

The meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Publicly-Owned Enterprises was attended by the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Albena Reshitaj, Minister of Infrastructure Pal Lekaj, Minister of Trade and Industry Bajram Hasani and Deputy-Minister of Finance Mustafë Grainca.
