Prishtina, 29.09.2020 – Today, the Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi visited the Municipality of Viti, whereby he was hosted by the Mayor of this municipality, Sokol Haliti.

Mayor Haliti, along with the municipal directors and his staff, thanked Minister Kuçi for supporting the project for regulation of the “Morava e Binçës” riverbed. However, some issues that require solutions have been presented to the Minister.

The topic on drinking water took most part of the discussion at this meeting, as the Municipality of Viti needs a quick investment so that citizens no longer have this issue.

“We discussed about a project that is following, and that is the project for regulation of the “Morava e Binçes” riverbed, which we will support.

We also talked about the projects related to drinking water, which the mayor pointed out, but it remains to find a solution together with ‘Hidromorava’ and other partners in order to initiate the procedures. We also discussed about wastewater treatment”, said Minister Kuçi.

At this meeting was also considered the possibility to initiate a project for wastewater treatment, for which the possibility of realization will be seen in the following.

Minister Kuçi and Mayor Haliti visited the work sites at the “Morava e Binçës” River in two areas, inside and on the outskirts of the city.
