Minister Kuçi discusses with European ambassadors for Economic Recovery

 

Prishtina, August 6, 2020 – The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi held today a virtual meeting with the Deputy Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Riccardo Serri, the Ambassador of Austria, Christopher Weidinger, the Ambassador of Italy, Nicola Orlando, the Head of the Belgian Office in Kosovo, Jean Louis Servais, Charge d’Affaires of Luxembourg Natacha Gomez and German diplomatic representative Axel Ross.

 

The purpose of the meeting was to promote the EU policy regarding economic recovery for the repercussions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The Deputy Head of the EU Office, Riccardo Serri, was asked to integrate the green elements in the measures envisaged for recovery, such as: clean energy, environment, biodiversity and financing of sustainability.

 

Minister Kuçi spoke about the legal initiatives that are expected to be forwarded to the Assembly of Kosovo and firmly stressed that the proposals coming from the European Union will be welcomed.

 

“In addition to the economic measures that we will take through the Economic Recovery Program, we expect to receive support in the Economic Reform 2021-2023”, said Kuçi.
