Prishtina, 01 July 2014 – Minister of Economic Development Fadil Ismajli gathered today energy operators, KOSTT, KEK and KEDS, and officials of the Energy Regulatory Office, in a common working meeting organized to address the issues presented by the decommissioning of Thermal Power Plant Kosovo A and the energy demand coverage.

All of the operators presented their views of the situation, and expressed their readiness to cooperate even close with the aim of successfully overcoming the current situation.

Minister Ismajli invited all parties to cooperate horizontally, in conformity with competencies and responsibilities held by different operators. He also invited all of them to meet in the days to come in order to thoroughly analyze different scenarios for overcoming the created situation.

Minister Ismajli reemphasized the stand of the Government of Kosovo to provide unreserved support for overcoming this situation and not harming customers in any manner.
