Minister Beqaj visits the “Prishtina 2011” fair

Prishtina, 9 June 2011 – Minister of Economic Development Besim Beqaj, accompanied by the chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Safet Gerxhaliu, visited today the general international fair “Prishtina 2011”, attended by companies from Kosovo, the region and beyond.

During the visit, Minister Beqaj discussed with different participants and was informed on their work and challenges faced by the businesses in the conduct of their activities.

At the occasion, Beqaj said that the Government considers the business community a significant partner for the country’s economic development; therefore, it is very much interested to establish a favorable environment for the development of the private sector.

The Minister reemphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Economic Development to support the local businesses, in accordance with the legal framework, by providing them with necessary space for their activities, and promised that will address each problem faced by businesses, along with the KCC.

On the other hand, KCC leadership gave high evaluations for the work of MED, respectively for the work of Minister Beqaj and the readiness of the latter to address problems faced by businesses, on daily basis.

“Prishtina 2011” fair represents a traditional economic manifestation, organized in the premises of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development in the Industrial Zone in Prishtina, and will be open until 11 June 2011.
