Prishtina, 05.07.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli together with representatives of the Cabinet received in a meeting today the Ambassador of Austria, Christoph Weidinger, the Head of the Office of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), Sandra Horina, as well as the coordinator of projects in the field of ASA’s economics, Arsim Aziri.

During the meeting, the cooperation between Kosovo and Austria during the last three decades was discussed, especially the Austrian contribution to the development of Kosovo and the continuous support it has offered to our country.

Minister Rizvanolli and Ambassador Weidnger discussed in detail topics of common interest, including women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming in policy-making, student support and energy efficiency, to continue discussions on topics such as pandemic management and Austria’s support for Kosovo in terms of the pandemic and visa liberalization for Kosovo.

Further, the Minister and the Ambassador spoke about the challenges and achievements of the Government of Kosovo, especially the Ministry of Economy during the first 100 days of the government mandate. Both sides have expressed full readiness to continue the close cooperation in various areas, which are in the competence of the Ministry of Economy during the extension of the government mandate, in order to achieve tangible and sustainable development focused on the citizens of Kosovo.
