A delegation from the Government of Kosovo, respectively from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), lead by its deputy-minister, Dr. Tech. Blerim Rexha and consisting of his associates, Dr. Tech. Bedri Dragusha and Nezir Myrtaj, took part in a regional conference on energy security and energy efficiency organized in Budva, Montenegro.

The conference is organized by the German Technical Cooperation agency (GTZ) and the Ministry for Economic Development of Montenegro, while participating in it were over 30 countries with 300 participants. 

The topics elaborated through discussions included regional cooperation in energy efficiency, future energy stability in the region, possibilities of identifying regional projects, practice and experience exchange and regional possibilities for investing the sector of energy efficiency.

Deputy Minister Dr. Techn. Blerim Rexha also had meetings with his counterpart, Ms. Nada Medenica and with Mr. Miodrag Canaovic, Deputy Minister for Economic Development in the Government of Montenegro.

At this conference, Kosovar delegation presented the regional project for saving bulbs and harmonization of region’s policieswith the EU ones. This project was largely supported by the conference participants.
