MED has not appointed Mr. Nuredin Krasniqi as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Publicly-Owned Enterprise Kosovo Telecom J.S.C.

Prishtina – 16.03.2018 – We wish to clarify to the public that the news on appointment of Mr. Nuredin Krasniqi as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Publicly-Owned Enterprise Kosovo Telecom J.S.C. by the Ministry of Economic Development is false.

In addition, allegations on the “notice sent by the Publicly-Owned Enterprises Monitoring Unit on the undertaking of necessary steps/actions commensurate to the created situation” are not true as well. The Ministry of Economic Development has not sent said information or instructed the undertaking of any action in this regard.

MED is cautiously engaged into finding a prompt solution regarding Kosovo Telecom J.S.C. To this end, the Board of Directors of the enterprise is expected to be appointed within March of this year, and the latter will subsequently proceed with the appointment of the company’s Chief Executive Officer, in compliance with legal provisions in force.

MED, as the owner of publicly-owned enterprises, remains committed to implementing the law in its entirety. Subsequently, no unilateral decision will create any legal effect or be acknowledged as such.
