Prishtina, 12.01.2018 – At the request of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Government of Kosovo has approved the opening of a Multi-functional Center in Mitrovica, in charge for managing four sports and recreational facilities funded by the European Commission, which will provide new employment possibilities.

On this occasion, Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka scrutinized the request presented by Mitrovica Municipality, and ascertained that it meets all relevant criteria.

“The new enterprise will have the status of a Joint Stock Company, under 100% ownership of the Municipality, and will operate based on Corporate Governance principles,” Minister Lluka said.

Minister Lluka concluded that the approval of this decision is in accordance with the Law on Publicly-Owned Enterprises, and provides for its efficient implementation.

The Multi-functional Center J.S.C. in Mitrovica will manage four recreational-sports facilities in this municipality.
