Lluka met with the Finnish Ambassador Stjernvall, to speak about ICT developments

Prishtina, 29.05.2018 – Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka met today with the Ambassador of Finland in Kosovo, Pia Stjernvall, with whom he talked about the economic developments in the country and the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the information technology sector.

Minister Lluka and DiplomatStjernvallhaveconsidered the possibilities for Finland to support the ICT sector and promote the presence of Finnish companies in Kosovo, including through opening their representation offices.

Both interlocutors also discussed about modalities of the conference expected to be organized in October this year by the Embassy of Finland in Prishtina, where ICT stakeholders will present the opportunities this sector offers in Kosovo.

On his part, Minister Lluka informed the Finnish Ambassador on ongoing projects in the sectors covered by MED, wiht a focus on ICT, which is considered among the sectors that significantly boost economic development.

The Economic Development Minister also informed his guest of the Government’s endeavors to improve the institutional and legal framework in order to improve the foreign investment climate, as reflected in recent reports by international institutions.
