Kosovo Solar Forum 2021 is held

Prishtina, 27 July 2021 – The Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has organized the Kosovo Solar Forum.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, opened the conference together with the USAID Deputy Director, Gëzim Hysenagolli. During her speech, Minister Rizvanolli mentioned that the team of the Ministry of Economy is focused on all the presentations and discussions of this forum, willing to learn from the participants and then ensure that the reforms are launched in order to facilitate of their work.

This forum was attended by key actors in the field of renewable energy in Kosovo and the forum promoted the dialogue and coordination between key government agencies, energy market actors, local renewable energy developers, international agencies, international financial institutions, commercial banks and civil society organizations.

It was also discussed about the current situation and the potential for development of solar energy, the process and projects for solar consumers, as well as about experiences, challenges and low-level solar opportunities.

This forum aimed to promote the market of consumers and producers for self-consumption of small solar energy projects in Kosovo. After the presentations and panels, a fair of developers and installers of solar panels took place at the forum, which was also visited by the Prime
Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

Prime Minister Kurti met with businesses and key local actors in this field to get acquainted with their services, products and experiences.
