Kosovo invited to Transatlantic Climate and Energy Partnership Forum for the first time

 

Warsaw, 23 September 2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli has represented the Republic of Kosovo for the first time in the Transatlantic Partnership Forum for Climate and Energy (P-TECC).

 

This Forum is organized by the Department of Energy of the United States of America (USA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate and Environment of Poland and the Global Energy Center of the Atlantic Council.

 

Minister Rizvanolli participated in the panel, “Critical Infrastructure” led by Assistant Secretary of State for International Relations of the US Department of Energy, Andrew Light, and Deputy Minister of Energy of Lithuania, Albinas Zananavicius.

 

The main topics discussed by the panel were; cyber security priorities for governments, energy planning and workforce development.

 

“Challenges and new opportunities come together, so I consider such forums opportunities for cooperation between countries to learn from each other and achieve creative solutions to the problems we all face,” said Minister Rizvanolli during panel discussions.

 

During the two days of the conference, on 22 and 23 September, Minister Rizvanolli attended ministerial and business panels which focused mainly on the approach of countries to global warming and environmental protection.

 

In parallel with the panels, the Minister held several meetings with representatives of participating countries and businesses to discuss more specifically Kosovo’s opportunities to face the challenges posed in particular by the fair energy transition.
