Berlin, December 15, 2009 – Deputy Minister of energy and mining (MEM) dr.Techn Blerim Rexha, associated by Ferat Shala, director of Trepçës and Ilir Morina, Director of Environment Protection Agency in MESP, visited Berlin and met with Dr. Werner Stackebrandt from Mining Agency of the Brandeburg and Berlin Republic and Prof. dr. Frank Riessback from Humboldt University. 

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the German experiences in the reconstruction of the mining sector in Germany in the recent 20 years and exchange experiences.  The Deputy Minister of Energy Dr. tech. Blerim Rexha, said the German experiences and mining are most welcome as they enhance Kosovo’s experiences “High working quality and German investments and practices advance the mining field in Kosovo and such a cooperation is welcome “ said deputy minister Rexha.

While staying in Germany, Kosovo delegation lead by Deputy Minister Rexha visited the embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Berlin, and that’s the Kosovo Ambassador in Germany Vilson Mirëdita, as well as representatives of the German Ministry of Economy Helge Tolksdorf and Petra Gerisch , and Gregor Wolf from the German Kosovo Economic Association. They discussed the commitments and projects of the German government in the energy sector, the current situation in this sector and the possibility of involving the German party in the reforms of the mining sector in Kosovo.
