Kosovo and Austria strengthen economic relations

Prishtina, 14.09.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti hosted the Austrian economic delegation.

During this meeting was discussed about the continuation of economic relations between Kosovo and Austria and the possibilities of economic engagement.

Among other things, in this meeting they discussed about the government’s priorities for the development of Kosovo, where the Prime Minister emphasized some of the factors that Kosovo has special importance for investors and businesses, such as: investment security, respectively rule of law, workforce and strategic  location with developed infrastructure.

“We hope to increase the volume of Austrian investment by working closely with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce here in Kosovo. “Especially in the provision of information and communication technology services, wood processing and with the great unused potential that Kosovo has in the field of tourism, new synergies can be created”, said Prime Minister Kurti.

For their part, the representatives of the Austrian economic delegation expressed satisfaction with the advancement of economic relations between Kosovo and Austria, which is the fourth largest investor in the country.
