Kosova e Re Power Plant Project Steering Committee approved the deadline for submission of bids

Prishtina, 21 July 2014 – The Kosova e Re Power Plant Project Steering Committee, headed by Minister of Economic Development Fadil Ismajli, convened today to discuss on the most recent developments in this project.

KRPP PSC was informed by the Transaction Advisor and “Kosova e Re” Project Implementation Unit on the current state of the project and developments to date.

The Project Steering Committee unanimously approved the bidders’ request, made through the Transaction Advisor, to postpone the bid submission deadline to 15 September 2014. Pursuant to this PSC decision, following the request from investors, the announcement of the first phase of the project winner will be made on 30 September.

Moreover, during the meeting PSC was informed on the individual meetings conducted with project stakeholders, which reconfirmed the purpose of all local and international institutions to proceed with the project.
