Koci: Italy is a Partner in Environmental Protection

Prishtina, 03.02.2017 – Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Gani Koci, met the Italian Deputy Ambassador in Kosovo, Matteo Corradini, accompanied by Patrizia Vianello, president of the company “Ambiente sc”.

On this occasion Deputy Minister Koci thanked the Deputy Ambassador Corradini for the support Italy is giving to the Republic of Kosovo in various fields, especially in the energy and mining.

“The MED has had a long-standing cooperation with Italy in various fields, and recently also in environment protection, and we are ready to expand this cooperation to affect the economic development of our country,” said Deputy Minister Gani Koci.

From her part, Patrizia Vianello, informed the Deputy Minister Koci on the activities of the company “Ambiente”, as well as projects currently being implemented in Kosovo. “We are interested in investing in Kosovo as a country with significant mining potential and we are currently working on a project, namely a feasibility study on environmental pollution of Power Plant ‘Kosova B’. However, we hope that we will have other projects in terms of environmental protection,” said Ms. Vianello.

Deputy Minister Koci informed the participants that Kosovo has created a favorable legal infrastructure for foreign investments, which would help the economic development of Kosovo and also expressed readiness for cooperation in the future.
