Prishtina, 06.03.2014 – The Minister of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met with the KfW Director for the region, Esther Gravenkoetter, with who he discussed on the current project in energy and water.

On this occasion they also discussed the current co-generation project, transmission projects, and the project on the enhancement of the transmission system and network.

The meeting was also used to discuss on the loans of KfW to commercial banks to enable a greater application of energy efficiency measures.

Another topic of discussion was the implementation of Energy Efficiency measures, a standard Kosovo strives to achieve.

In terms of the water sector, they discussed on the treatment of wastewaters, potable water, and rehabilitation of existing networks in municipalities such as Prishtina, Prizren, Gjakova and Peja.

Both parties agreed to enhance further cooperation in projects with a direct impact in the lives of the citizens of Kosovo.

Minister Ismajli thanked the KfW director for her support to Kosovo.
