Prishtina, 02 June 2023 – Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, and the new Director of the Publicly-Owned Enterprises Policy and Monitoring Unit, Valon Prebreza, have entered into a series of agreements for the financing of capital projects in railways and water supply companies.

The Railway Enterprises “Infrakos” and “Trainkos” will benefit 844,000 euros to repair rolling stock, improve railway safety, procure machinery, and enhance monitoring systems.

The Regional Water Supply Company “Prishtina” will be supported with 440,000 euros for the rehabilitation and construction of water supply and sewerage networks in Kishnica of the Municipality of Graçanica, in 10 villages in Shtime and in Bellopojë, Llugë, and Orllan in Podujeva.

Meanwhile, the Regional Water Suply Company “Hidroregjioni Jugor” will be supported with 170,000 euros for two water supply projects in the Kurrila neighborhood and the village of Gërnçarë in Prizren.

The Ministry of Economy has already signed agreements worth over 13 million euros for various capital projects of publicly-owned enterprises, with further multimillion-euro support expected for investments serving citizens and the economic development of the country.
