Inauguration of the drinking water system in Fushe Kosove

Prishtina, 25.06.2019 – The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Fushe Kosove, Burim Berisha and Chief Executive Office of RWC Prishtina, Ilir Abdullahu inaugurated the drinking water system in Fushe Kosove.

On this occasion, Minister Valdrin Lluka, said that one of the promises, which is of great importance for the inhabitants of this city, is hereby being fulfilled.

“We are carrying out a promise made earlier. As of today, the city of Fushe Kosove will have drinking water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We kindly request from the citizens to be very careful and not waste water”, stressed minister Lluka.

On the other hand, the Mayor of the Municipality of Fushe Kosove, Burim Berisha, classified the inauguration of the drinking water system as one of the most vital projects for the city.

“This represents one of the best projects of Fushe Kosove since the end of the war. I would like to extend my gratitude towards Minister Valdrin Lluka, Minister Bedri Hamza and Chief Executive Officer of RWC Prishtina, Ilir Abdullahu”, stated Berisha.

In his speech, Chief Executive Officer of RWC Prishtina, Ilir Abudllahu emphasized that, today, a project of paramount importance for the citizens of Fushe Kosove is being finalised and he called on the citizens to not waste drinking water.

“Today marks the finalisation of a project launched a long time ago. Considering the fact that water supply depends on rainfall, we urge the citizens to be careful with the use of drinking water. I would also like to extend my gratitude towards Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) for their donation to this project” he stated.

This project was made possible by the Ministry of Economic Development MED, Ministry of Finance and KFW with the total cost amounting to EUR 500 thousand.
