Hungary supports Kosovo in concrete projects

Prishtina, 03.10.2017 – Hungary will support the Republic of Kosovo in all processes, especially in its path of economic development, underlined the Hungarian Ambassador in Prishtina Laszlo Markusz during his meeting with the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka today.

Minister Lluka informed the diplomat on MED’s priorities, emphasizing the strategic sectors covered by MED, such as energy, mines, ICT and publicly-owned enterprises, the development of which is considered a prerequisite for sustainable development.

The Head of MED reemphasized his engagement towards improving the business environment, with the aim of stimulating foreign investments, and invited the Ambassador to serve as a connecting bridge between Hungarian investors and the Republic of Kosovo.

In addition, Minister Lluka and Ambassador Markusz discussed on the waste-water treatment plant project, valued at 17 million euro and funded by the Hungarian state in the shape of a non-interest loan, which will serve the improvement of citizens’ quality of living.

For his part, Ambassador Markusz congratulated Minister Lluka on the appointment and reemphasized the interest of the Hungarian state to advance bilateral relations, in the interest of both parties.
