Following the commitment of Minister Valdrin Lluka to support the pipeline issue, the “Removal of Asbestos Pipes” Project for RWC Gjakova j.s.c. is approved

Prishtina, 08.08.2018 – Following the commitment of the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka to push for the treatment of asbestos pipes in the Regional Water Supply Company Gjakova j.s.c., the project for their replacement was finally approved.

The project was endorsed by the National Investment Council on 13.07.2018, and envisages a soft-loan financing program with Hungarian authorities. Concretely, this project will be funded through a state lending agreement, in line with the Law on Public Debt.

Moreover, the Government of Kosovo regulated said financial cooperation with the Hungarian authorities in Law No. 05/L-153 on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Hungarian Government on the establishment of a framework program for financial cooperation, signed in December 2016.

The agreement foresees concrete implementation modalities, and will continue to be strongly supported by Minister Lluka in the future.
