Final conference of the project “Establishing creative centres in Kosovo’s secondary education schools” was held

Prishtina, 08.07.2021 – The final conference of the project “Establishing creative centres in Kosovo’s secondary education schools”, initiated by the Ministry of Economy (ME) and organized in cooperation with the company PBC and the Academy of Digital Revolution PBCA, was held today.

This project which is focused on the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has allowed for the establishment of 60 creative centres and training of 900 students in this field, proving to be a powerful tool to influence economic growth.

During the final conference of the project, certificates of appreciation and awards were given to the following three winning schools:

1.    First Place: Electro-Technical High School “Gjin Gazulli”, Prishtina
2.    Second Place: Vocational upper-secondary school “Jonuz Zejnullahu”, Viti
3.    Third Place: Technical Vocational High School “Fehmi Lladrovci”, Drenas

During his speech, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Mentor Arifaj, emphasized that one of the goals of the Government of Kosovo, particularly the Ministry of Economy, is to develop the country’s economy by developing fields such as ICT, and that ME is making continuous efforts to support ICT development in the country.

Furthermore, Deputy Minister Arifaj expressed his gratitude to the students and the schools for their enthusiasm and willingness to attend various trainings in the field of ICT, despite the numerous challenges faced by the project due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
