Prishtina, 19.09.2019 – The Fifth Meeting of the Working Group on Drafting the NPEC 2021-2030 was held in the framework of the commitments for drafting the National Plan on Energy and Climate (NPEC) 2021-2030.

The meeting was opened by Sabit Gashi and Visare Hoxha – Istrefi, the chairpersons of the Working Group on Drafting the NPEC 2021-2030.

In the first session of the meeting, the international expert Nicolas Brizard presented the results of energy demand analysis and their projections by 2030.

In the second session of the meeting, GIZ representatives informed the WG of the activity GIZ is conducting in the preparation of Terms of Reference for engaging technical assistance that will support the Working Group and thematic groups throughout the process of drafting the National Plan on Energy and Climate.

The NPEC 2021-2030 is based on the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community adopted in January 2018 and includes 5 dimensions: Energy Security, Internal Energy Market, Energy Efficiency, Decarbonisation, Research, Innovation and Competitiveness.
