Prishtina, 05.12.2013 – As part of the Energy Efficiency campaign “Let’s give energy to the future”, Energy Efficiency Agency CEO, Bedri Dragusha, visited the “Green School” in Prishtina, and gave a lecture to students on energy efficiency, and ways to save electricity.

“Increasing our efficiency we both energy and money. Thus, more efficiency means more savings and more investments in schools, government building, business and industry”, said Dragusha, and added that the use of efficient measures directly impacts the environment.

He stated that MED, with the campaign “Let’s give energy to the future”, aims to increase the public awareness on energy efficiency and energy projects in the country.

Students have also shared their experiences in projects implemented to promote electricity savings, and added that they pass on their knowledge to their family members.

The Green School is a joint project of USAID and the Municipality of Prishtina, where EE and RES measures were implemented, including: thermal insulation, insulating doors and windows, efficient sensor lighting, sanitary water heating, and heating of the building with thermal energy.
