Deputy Minister Koci meets the head of Japanese company “California Hills”

Prishtina, 05 February 2013 – Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Gani Koci, met today with Mr. Charlie Taka, President of Japanese company ‘California Hills’, part of the ‘Global Investment Group’, with whom he discussed on investment opportunities in Kosovo, in the field of immovable property and construction.

Deputy Minister Koci used the occasion to inform Mr. Taka on the environment Kosovo provides for foreign investments, adding that the legislation is quite advanced and provides for favorable investment conditions in this sphere.

“Legislation in Kosovo is quite advanced, especially investments-related legislation. Kosovo offers great investment opportunities and we remain engaged to facilitating further all procedures for potential investors,” said Deputy Minister Koci.

During this meeting, deputy head of MED informed the president of the Japanese company on Kosovo’s achievements in the sphere of economy, underscoring that strengthening of the private sector represents one of Government’s main priorities.

For his part, Mr. Taka thanked Deputy Minister Koci for the information provided, and expressed his readiness to invest in Kosovo, in the spheres of construction and information technology.

“Our company is interested to invest in developing high quality residential facilities that meet all adequate standards. We are also ready to adjust to the prices that prevail in Kosovo markets,” Mr. Taka said.
