Deputy Minister Koci meets State Department official Christy Machak

Prishtina, 03 December 2013 – Deputy-Minister of Economic Development met today with Christy Machak, US State Department official, with whom he discussed on the most recent economic developments in the country, especially on the achievements in the sphere of energy.

The meeting was focused on the energy sector, the construction of Kosova e Re Power Plant, and MED’s efforts towards ensuring greater energy efficiency. Deputy-Minister Koci informed the American official on concrete steps implemented in this sphere.

Mr. Koci used the occasion to ensure Mrs. Machak that the Government of Kosovo, respectively Ministry of Economic Development will remain committed to respecting European Union standards during the implementation of energy projects.

Other topics in the meeting included discussions on the possibilities for revitalizing the ‘Trepça’ complex, and ensuring employment in this national asset, as well as the process of privatization of 75% of PTK shares.
