Deputy Minister Arifaj and Minister Hajdari meet with representatives of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce

Vienna, 09.11.2021 – Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Mentor Arifaj together with the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, visited the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO), where they were hosted by the Vice President of the WKO, Philipp Gady and the director of the Chamber for Southeast Europe, Gred Dückelmann – Dublany.

During the meeting, they mainly talked about the field of Information Technology (ICT) and energy, which provide room for development of local capacities with foreign investments.

Deputy Minister Arifaj and Minister Hajdari informed the participants about the economic development in Kosovo and the potential that Kosovo offers for investments of Austrian businesses as well as for the increase of economic relations between the two countries.

WKO Vice President Gady expressed interest in further and concrete cooperation with Kosovo. WKO during the meeting offered to Kosovo the opportunity to get involved in their near-shoring project.

The meeting was followed by B2B meetings, where representatives of Kosovar and Austrian businesses had the concrete space to network and form cooperation in their fields. Cooperation will continue during the visit of Austrian businesses in Kosovo scheduled for spring 2022.
