Croatia supports KGA’s membership in Eurogeosurvey

Prishtina, 07.07.2013 – Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Gani Koci, and his associates, received today a delegation of the Croatian Geology Institute, headed by its Director Dr. Josip Halamic, with which he discussed on the bilateral cooperation in the sphere of geology.

The purpose of this meeting was initiate a cooperation agreement based on the partnership between Kosovo Geology Agency (KGA) and Croatian Geology Institute (CGI).

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Koci informed CGI officials on the work of KGA, while expressing his readiness to deepen further cooperation between the two respective institutions.

For his part, the Director of CGI, Josip Halamic, elaborated on the work of the Croatian geologic institute and gave the MED officials a Geologic Map 1:300,000, Map describer, Book of mineral resources; Book of geothermal waters and the Geochemical atlas.

Using the occasion, Halamic proposed to KGA to run for membership in Eurogeosurvey, while promising that Croatia will support KGA’s membership in this mechanism.

Otherwise, present in the meeting were also Croatian Geology Institute’s Scientific Advisor, Damir Slovenec, and the Heads of KGA’s Geoinformation Department and Geology Division.
