Prishtina, 18 August 2023 – The Ministry of Economy has announced the call to support family consumers in investing in efficient household appliances and renewable energy systems – solar system for sanitary water heating.

The energy efficiency measures were presented today by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, and Alessandro Bianciardi from the EU Office in Kosovo.

The call for supporting family consumers in investing in efficient household appliances includes the subsidization of washing machines, dishwashers, and refrigerators or freezer-refrigerators.

The subsidy amount for one (1) washing machine is 200.00 €. For single parents, the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance is 300.00 €. For citizens benefiting from the social assistance scheme (categories I & II), the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance is 400.00 €.

The subsidy amount for one (1) dishwasher is 150.00 €. For single parents, the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance is 250.00 €. For citizens benefiting from the social assistance scheme (categories I & II), the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance 300.00 €.

The subsidy amount for one (1) refrigerator or freezer-refrigerator is 100.00 €. For single parents, the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance is 150.00 €. For citizens benefiting from the social assistance scheme (categories I & II), the subsidy amount for one (1) appliance is 200.00 €.

The support of family consumers in investing in renewable energy systems – solar system for sanitary water heating, the installation of the solar system for sanitary water heating will be subsidized for only one solar system for sanitary water heating per household, and the system purchased must be new.

The installation of the solar system for sanitary water heating is subsidized at the amount of forty percent (40%) of the investment value of the complete solar system for sanitary water heating, up to a maximum of 1000.00 €.

Both calls are open to all family consumers whose monthly electricity consumption is not less than 250 kWh/month for at least ten (10) months within the last twelve (12) months.

The application for subsidy is made online through the e-Kosova platform.
