Prishtina, 21.03.2013 – The PTK Government Privatization Committee decided today to grant to the companies participating in the process of privatization of 75% of PTK shares additional time for the submission of their bids, extending the deadline to 03 April 2013.

This deadline extension comes as a result of technical difficulties faced by certain companies prequalified in this process, although all preparations were made towards conducting a process in conformity with the bidding documents.

Bearing in mind the great significance and complexity of the privatization process of this important publicly-owned enterprise, GPC, pursuant to the counsel of transaction advisors, considered that the 2-week extension of the process serves increased competition and successful implementation of this project, which is of great significance for the country’s economy.

GPC ensures all Kosovo citizens that the process of privatization of this important public enterprise is being conducted in full harmony with the highest international standards envisaged for such transactions.
