Beqaj signs two agreements with the Islamic Development Bank

Prishtina, 22.05.2013 – During his attendance in the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) held in the capital city of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, Minister Beqaj signed two agreements with the president of IDB, Ahmad Mohamed Ali.

The first agreement envisages funding for road M2, connecting Prishtina and Mitrovica, which IDB will fund with 20 million dollars. The other pertains to a Framework Agreement of Cooperation between IDB and Kosovo, which precedes our country’s membership in this financial institution.

Meanwhile, in the margins of IDB’s 38th Annual Meeting, Minister Beqaj also met with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Hamrokhon Zarifi, OFID Director for Asia, Imhemed Bukader, Vice-President and Managing Director of the Saudi Development Fund, Yousef I. Al-Bassam, as well as Khaled M. Al-Aboodi from the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD).
