Prishtinë, 17.03.2017 – The future of Kosovo, but also of the other countries in the region, is to instate an integrated energy market, through concrete actions, which will yield the following results for the states: security of supply and affordability of prices, said the Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci, in the round table “Discussing Liberalization of the Energy Market”, organized by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO).

Prishtina, 07.03.2017 – Kosovo ranks fifth in Europe in terms of lignite reserve possession. These reserves represent on the most significant energy generation factors, said the Deputy-Minister of Economic Development Besa Zogaj Gashi, in the opening of the Kosovo – Greece Economic Forum held on the subject “Economic Cooperation – Challenges and Perspectives”, adding that the Government of Kosovo is developing large scale projects related to new lignite exploitation fields, which offer a unique opportunity for companies interested to invest in energy and mining sectors.

Prishtinë, 24.02.2017 – as a part of its energy efficiency measures in public buildings, the Ministry of Economic Development invested over 60 thousand Euros in implementation of such measures in the SHFMU “Jahë Salihu” in Molliq village in Gjakova, which significantly improves the working conditions for its students and teachers staff.

Prishtinë, 23.02.2 017 – The Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci reported to the Parliamentary Committee on Stabilization and Association (PCSA) and the Stabilization and Association Council (SAC), where he presented the achievements in the field of energy, which are related to implementation of European Agenda of Reforms.
