Prishtina, 24.10.2017 – The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, revealed the policies of the ministry he heads, with special emphasis on the energy sector, in a lecture he held today in front of RIT Kosovo – AUK students and professors in Prishtina, reconfirming that the development of the energy sector is a prerequisite for the country’s economic development.

Prishtina, 16.10.2017 – Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka received today a senior delegation from the German Development Bank (KfW), headed by Christoph Tiskens – Director for Southeast Europe and Turkey, Joerg Meilicke – Director for Western Balkans and Rene Eschemann – Director for Kosovo and Macedonia, with which he discussed on projects in the sphere of energy and other fields covered by MED.

Prishtina, 15.10.2017 – The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, part of the Kosovo delegation comprising the Minister of Finance, and accompanied by the Kosovo Ambassador in USA, Vlora Çitaku, met today with the World Bank’s Vice President for Europe and Asia, Cyril Muller, and World Bank Vice President for Sustainable Development, Laura Tuck, during the recent official visit to the United States.

Prishtina, 13.10.2017 – During his stay in Washington D.C., attending the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka also met with the Director for Southeast Europe in the US State Department, Mr. Matthew Palmer.

Prishtina 10.10.2017 – Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, met with the Swiss Ambassador in Kosovo, Jean-Hubert Lebet, with whom he discussed the progress in wastewater treatment projects as well as issues with POE management.

Prishtina, 06.10.2017 – Kosovo’s Government approved today the Kosovo Energy Strategy 2017-2026, presented by Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, who stated that his document aims to create a developed energy sector, which doesn’t damage the environment and health, and supports sustainable economic development and social wellbeing in Kosovo, as part of an open and competitive energy market.

Prishtina, 06.10.2017 – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will continue to provide support to Kosovo in order to maintain the financial stability and create conditions for sustainable growth, stated IMF representatives in a meeting held today with the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka.

Prishtina, 03.10.2017 – European Investment Bank (EIB) expressed its readiness to support concrete Kosovo projects, said its representatives Konstantinos Mastrogiannopoulos, who met today with the Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka, as part of a UNDP delegation led by Alessandra Roccasalvo, Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Kosovo.
