The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi, received today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti.

The Minister of Economy and Environment, Mr. Blerim Kuçi, hosted today in a meeting the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Foundation Kosovo, Mr. Petrit Selimi, the Director of this organization for Kosovo, Ms. Sarah Olmstead, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Agency of Energy Efficiency, Mr. Arsim Kuliqi.

The Minister of Economy and Environment, Mr. Blerim Kuçi, today met with the Minister of Justice, Mr. Selim Selimi, with whom he discussed about the fight against corruption and the country’s economic development.

New Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi, took the office today. Acting Secretary of MEETIESI, Irfan Lipovica, handed over the office to the Minister Kuçi. Lipovica informed Minister Kuçi of projects that have been implemented, projects in process and projects expected to be initiated in the field of technology, energy, Publicly-Owned Enterprises and mines.

The Ministry of Economic Development, namely the Kosovo Digital Economy (KODE) project, through support grants, during 2019, has financed the deployment of fixed broadband network, respectively fibre optic in remote areas of Kosovo, enabling the residents of these areas access to internet and television content services.

he outgoing Minister of Economic Development, Mr Valdrin Lluka, today handed over the mandate to the new Minister of Economy, Employment, Trade, Strategic Investments Entrepreneurship, Industry, Ms Rozeta Hajdari, who wished success to her and informed her about the achievements and challenges.

A joint delegation from Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Black and Veatch (B&V), as well as representatives of Kosovo Compact Development visited today the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), where they were welcomed by the Head of the MED Department of Energy, Mr. Luan Morina with associates, for the purpose of coordinating activities for development of the gas sector in Kosovo.
