Prishtina, 1 June 2009- Minister of Energy and Mines (MEM), Justina Shiroka – Pula, accompanied by the Coordinator of MEM Human Rights Unit, Arbërore Bërnica, visited on 1 June the School for children with special needs “Përparimi”, to mark the International Children’s Day, and used the opportunity to donate two computers to the school, in order of facilitating the teaching process and supporting this category of children, while noting the support of the Institutions of Republic of Kosovo for the latter.

Prishtina, Aprill 23 2009 - Under the organization of the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM), LPTA Project Office and Ibër-Lepenci, today MEM hosted a meeting on the topic “Sustainable water supply for the energy sector”.

Prishtina, 14 April 2009 – In an event organized by ‘Forum 2015’ local experts debated on Tuesday regarding the construction of “New Kosova” Thermal Power-Plant and on its importance for the development of our country.

Prishtina: A meeting was held with the representatives of the Energy Community Treaty (ECT), Simon Uzunov and Roland Matous. The meeting was held with the aim of reviewing the progress achieved in Kosovo in the last six months, with regard to the fulfillment of obligations deriving from the Energy Community Treaty.

Prishtina, Minister of Energy and Mines, Justina Shiroka – Pula symbolically took over the renovated ‘Toskana’ facilities from the Minister of Public Services Mr. Arsim Bajrami.

Prishtina, Mars 27, 2009 – Minister of Energy and Mining (MEM), Justina Shiroka-Pula, met Elena Kirtcheva, General Secretary of the Vienna Economic Forum. The meeting was aimed at initiating cooperation between MEM and Vienna Economic Forum, for which Minister Pula offer her full support to the process.

Prishtina, March 24, 2009 – With the organization of the Human Rights Unit (HRU) of the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM), MEM staff finished a one-day training on “International Instruments on Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Law”. The training was aimed at raising the awareness of the employees on the instruments provided by the Law and International Conventions on Human Rights.

A delegation from the Government of Kosovo, respectively from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), lead by its deputy-minister, Dr. Tech. Blerim Rexha and consisting of his associates, Dr. Tech. Bedri Dragusha and Nezir Myrtaj, took part in a regional conference on energy security and energy efficiency organized in Budva, Montenegro.
