SHARR, 6 June 2011 – In a meeting with the Mayor and business representatives of Sharr, the Minister of Economic Development Besim Beqaj spoke on stimulation of competition, strengthening of the private sector, generation of employment possibilities, improvement of Kosovo’s image and investment climate and on creation of a safe and stable business climate, while determining the concrete dynamic for the accomplishment of the above.

Prishtina, 6 June 2011 – Today, The Minister of Economic Development (MED), Besim Beqaj, presented the work of the ministry in its first 100 days of existence, underlining the work in the completion of the legal framework, compilation of the planning document on economic developmental priorities, monitoring of public enterprises and implementation of capital projects, while not leaving aside cooperation in the region and beyond.

Prishtina, 3 June 2011 – The Government Privatization Committee (GPC) for the Publicly Owned Enterprise Kosovo Post and Telecommunications J.S.C., in accordance with the decisions of the Assembly and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, conducted the prequalification process for the enterprises interested on PTK privatization.

Prishtina, 1 June 2010 – The Government of Republic of Kosovo signed a cooperation agreement with the Swiss Confederation, on the provision of financial assistance for the improvement of water supply in Southeast Kosovo at the amount of 8 million and four hundred thousand Swiss franks.

Prishtina, 26 May 2011 – Economic and politic relations between Kosovo and Albania are advanced, and there is no fiscal discrimination of Kosovo by Albania said the Minister of Economic Development Besim Beqaj after the meeting with the Albanian Ambassador in Prishtina Islam Lauka. On the other hand, the Albanian diplomat neglected the allegations that Tirana applies discriminatory taxes over Kosovar products.

Zagreb/ Prishtina, 14 May 2011 – Kosovo Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, met today with the President of Republic of Croatia, Ivo Josipovic, to discuss on the development and further strengthening of state relations by the two countries, with special emphasis on cooperation in the sphere of economy.
