Prishtina, 17 October 2012 – The Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, said that today’s execution of the contract for privatization of the Kosovo Energy Distribution and Supply Company represents an important moment for the future of Republic of Kosovo’s economy and energy sector.

Prishtina, 16.10.2012 – The Government Privatization Committee for the Kosovo Electricity Distribution and Supply Company (KEDS), approved the final transaction documents for the privatization of KEDS during its meeting convened today.

Prishtina, 11 October 2012 – The Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, participated in the Kosovo – Great Britain Trade and Investment Conference, held in London on 10-11 October, where he presented Kosovo’s investment potentials to British investors and held a lecture at the Sheffield University.

Prishtina, 10.10.2012 – Government Privatization Committee for the privatization of PTK (GPC) considers that publications in several local media that the Government has allegedly committed to use PTK and Kosovo Post’s immovable assets as collateral for prequalified companies in the PTK privatization process are untrue and tendentious.

Prishtina, 03 October 2012 – In conformity with the Constitution of the Republic and in harmony with the vision for sustainable economic development, the Government of Kosovo is determined to conduct structural economic reform, in order to functionalize its market economy, strengthen the private sector, establish high professional and institutional norms aimed at enhancing sustainable economic development and providing new employment possibilities. Sustainable development per se includes elements such as economic development, socio-economic cohesion and environmental protection, said the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, during the session of the Assembly of Kosovo dedicated to the privatization process.
