Prishtina, 24 April 2013 – The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has set in its agenda the strengthening of the private sector, which implies economic development, creation of new employment possibilities that directly positively influence on the lives of citizens said the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, in the opening of Carpenter’s Fair ‘Natyra 20013’, which was used to present wood products from Kosovo, Albania, Italy, etc..

Prishtina, 22 April 2013 – Kosovo and Montenegro are soon expected to organize a Business Forum with the aim of enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries. This was clarified during the meeting that the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, held today with the Montenegrin Minister of Economy, Vladimir Kavaric.

Prishtina, 17 April 2013 – After yesterday’s meeting of the Government Privatization Committee, and the Decision of the Government of Kosovo to approve the report of the Committee for Privatization of 75% of PTK shares, the Government Privatization Committee informs the public that the process of privatization of PTK shares was conducted in full compliance with the Constitutions and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, and in conformity with the highest international standards.

Prishtina, 15 April 2013 – The World Bank Ombudsman (Compliance Advisor Ombudsman – CAO), assessed that IFC conduct and KEDS privatization were carried out in full compliance with international standards. This assessment of the Appeals Advisor and the World Bank Ombudsman from New York, comes after the diligent review of complains submitted by a Kosovar group of civil society representatives regarding the privatization of NewCo Kosovo Electricity Distribution and Supply (KEDS), and concludes that IFC has conducted the project in compliance with the applicable procedures and international standards.

Prishtina, 03 April 2013 – The Chairman of the Government Privatization Committee for PTK and Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, informed that two bids were received in relation to the privatization of 75% of PTK shares, adding that part of the bidding process are M1 International and Axos GMBH in consortium with Najafi Companies.
