Prishtina, 18 March 2013 – The Minister of Economic Development Besim Beqaj received today the Director of the Energy Community Treaty Secretariat, Mr. Janez Kopac, with whom he discussed on the implementation of concrete projects in the sphere of energy and on the obligations deriving from the third EU package.

Prishtina, 08 March 2013 – The Ministerial Committee on Publicly-Owned Enterprises (MCPOE), acting on behalf of the shareholder of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), requested from KEK’s Board of Directors to dismiss the Managing Director of KEK J.S.C., in conformity with its responsibilities according to applicable legislation.

Prishtina, 14 March 2013 – The Government Privatization Committee for PTK and the Ministry of Economic Development, as part of this Committee, have undertaken all necessary legal actions to protect the rights of employees of both fixed and mobile telephony sectors, the latter undergoing the final stage of the privatization of 75% of its shares.

Prishtina, 06.03.2013 – Compared to 2010, there is an increase in the profit of Publicly Owned Enterprises by 11.8 percent, namely there is a better performance, said the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj before the Assembly Committee on Public Finance Oversight, presenting the Report on Central POE performance in 2011.

Prishtina, 08.02.2013 – KEK Board of Directors informed the Minister of Economic Development that, taking into account the position of Inter-Governmental Committee on POEs and reports of inter-institutional committees on the findings of electricity billing for January 2013, in agreement with the KEK Management, a decision was taken to suspend managers of the Prishtina district.
