Prishtina, 15 February 2013 – The Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj, held today a press conference to inform the public on the findings of the Oversight Committee addressing citizen complaints to KEK in relation to electricity bills, whereby he dismissed any possibility for invoice inflation, and confirmed certain omissions in reading electricity meters.

Prishtina, 15 February 2013 – Besim Beqaj, Minister of Economic Development, attended today in the launching event of the new postal stamp dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Kosovo’s declaration of independence. The new postal stamp, which depicts the name of Kosovo and number 5, which symbolizes the years of Kosovo’s statehood, was deemed an event of special significance.

Prishtina, 13 February 2013 – Kosovo needs energy, but above all it needs a healthy environment. For this reason, the Government has set end-2017 as the deadline for decommissioning TPP Kosova A, and undertakes to comply with this deadline in its relations with the EU, said the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj.

Prishtina, 09 February 2013 – After consultations at the Government level, the Ministry of Economic Development decided to request from KEK to conduct, by 16 February, a detailed re-evaluation of the situation created and to provide all relevant documents related to billing, meter-reading and effects of meter replacement, said Minister Besim Beqaj.
