Prishtina, 29 April 2015 - implementation of clean energy projects in Kosovo is one of MED's objectives, which aims to provide a suitable environment, which would attract private investments in this sector, said Deputy Minister of Economic Development Besa Zogaj Gashi, during a meeting with USAID representatives.

Prishtina, 25 April 2015 - Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci, is participating in the Diaspora Businesses Union in Germany, held in Cologne and also attended by the Kosovo Minister of Diaspora, Valon Murati, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Albania, Brulinda Paskali, Mayor of Cologne, Ralph Heinen and representatives of Kosovo and diaspora businesses.

Prishtina, 07 April 2015 - Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, accompanied by Deputy Minister Besa Zogaj - Gashi, visited Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), where they were received by the Board of Directors and senior management of this corporation and informed on the recent developments, respectively on steps taken towards the enhancement of security of energy supply for its customers.

Prishtina, 01.04.2015 - Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, along with Minister of Trade and Industry Hikmete Bajrami and Minister of Finance Avdullah Hoti, presented to students of Riinvest College, on the 100th day of the new Government, the programmatic orientations of Kosovo Government from the perspective of ministries they head.

Prishtinë, 01.04.2015 - Energy represents an important sector and a prerequisite for economic development, therefore the Government is making efforts to harmonize its actions in order to ensure the generation of sufficient energy through the development of new generation capacities, and their combination with alternative energy sources and the concept of energy efficiency, said the Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 30.03.2015 - Kosovo's energy generation capacities are obsolete, therefore there is an urgent need for new generation capacities, in order to ensure a sustainable electricity supply. However, it is important to invest in significant components of the electricity sector, such as Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources, said Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 10.03.2015 - The Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci, and his Albanian counterpart, Minister of Energy and Industry of Albania, Damian Gjiknuri, accompanied by heads of transmission system operators and energy regulators of both countries, visited SS 400/220 - Kosovo B in Obiliq, to be closely informed on the works implemented for the interconnection line between Kosovo and Albania.

Prishtina, 10.03.2015 – Both Kosovo and Albania are aware of the importance of the agreement on the establishment of a common market for the energy sector, which is essential element aand a prerequisite for economic development of both countries, said the Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 10.03.2015 - After the establishment of the common electricity market between Kosovo and Albania, working groups are established to assist the work of the Steering Committee. Initially a working group on legal/regulatory issues, working group on technical/operational issues and working group on commercial issues were established, to be composed of various experts from both countries.

Prishtina, 10.03.2015 - Cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, in the area of electricity is starting to bear fruits. The lack of capacities and their complementarity forced the Ministry of Economic Development of Kosovo and the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Albania to establish the common energy market, as a common market area.
