    Agreement between Kosovo and Albania on ancillary services/secondary regulation expected soon

    Prishtina, 20 Nov 2015 – Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Besa Zogaj-Gashi, met today with Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry of Albania, Ilir Bejtja, and the first advisor on energy, Entela Çipa, to discuss on an agreement for the provision of ancillary services (secondary regulation) between two countries. This process is of great significance for KOSTT’s membership in ENTSO-E, and the existing infrastructure was positively tested by operators of two countries – KOSTT and OSTT KESH. Deputy Ministers Gashi and Bejtja agreed that functionalization of this project requires the execution of a commercial agreement between KOSTT and OST.

    The country’s largest project, TPP Kosova e Re, with investments exceeding 1 billion and thousands of jobs gets under way

    Prishtina, 20 Nov 2015 – Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci informed that the TPP Kosova e Re Project Steering Committee decided to announce American company Contour Global as the preferred bidder for the development of new electricity generation capacities (500MW), with an investment in excess of 1 billion euro, thus finalizing the project initiated over a decade ago.

    KGS monitors natural gas source in village Torinë

    Prishtina, 13.11.2015 - “Kosovo Geological Service has been informed and has monitored the natural gas source, in order to obtain information and provide a professional study on the area. In cooperation with ICMM officials, it has visited to scene and identified the phenomenon of this source of water outlet under pressure,” said Fidaim Sahiti, Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Geologic Service (KGS), during the two-day workshop on the topic “Presence and Perspective of Natural Gas Explorations in Torinë Location of Lipjan Municipality".

    MED reaches an agreement with Contour Global
