3CIS a success story beyond Kosovo market

Prishtina, 25 April 2013 – After the reform conducted in the legislative sphere, introduced with the approval of the Law on Electronic Communication and adoption the Policy Document on Electronic Communication, the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), will be focused on the development of ICT sector as an independent sector, said the Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj.

Beqaj made these comments during the visit to 3CIS Company, which offers professional services in the sphere of information technology, where he was received by its Executive Director, Gëzim Pula.

Using this occasion, Minister Beqaj assessed that 3CIS Company represents the best Kosovo and regional example in the provision of ICT services to world-class companies worldwide.

“3CIS’s success model will be a model that we will strive to utilize in all our strategic efforts towards the development of this sector. Hence, from now on, I will insist on the establishment of a strong partnership between the ICT sector and our Ministry. MED doors will be open to address all needs and problems this sector may face,” said Beqaj.

The Head of MED said that he believes in the potential of ICT both in the aspect of economic development and in the aspect of employment and development of a new image for Kosovo, while committing to stimulate the utilization and provision of such new technology.

Beqaj said that he was convinced that the nucleus created around and in 3CIS will be expanded, in order for Kosovo’s youth to work in world-class companies, such as 3CIS.

“We are convinced that your success was not achieved without problems and challenges. Success in such conditions of enormous competition from all sides of the world required an extraordinary effort,” he said.

Minister Beqaj informed that during this year the National Strategy for the Development of ICT will be compiled, in cooperation with STIKK and universities, and with support from GIZ. This document will address needs of the sector in general and needs of businesses applying such new technologies in specific.

From his part, 3CIS Executive Director, Gëzim Pula, said that this company provides professional services in the sphere of fixed and mobile telecommunication grid engineering.

Pula said that the potentials with which such works are performed are covered with the company’s own sources, while asking from the institutions to provide fiscal and tax facilities, with the aim of stimulating this sector further.
