Prishtina, 04.06.2026 – The Ministry of Economy has signed an agreement for financing capital projects with the Regional Water Supply Company RWC “Bifurkacioni” j.s.c., in the amount of 1 million euros, with the aim of improving water supply and modernizing water infrastructure in the Ferizaj and Shterpce regions.

On this occasion, Minister Rizvanolli said that the agreement foresees the financing of two important infrastructure projects: the construction of a water treatment plant with a capacity of 35 liters per second and the rehabilitation of the water supply network in the municipality of Shterpce, in the amount of 520 thousand euros, as well as the replacement of the existing pipeline from the water processing plant in Pleshine to the city of Ferizaj, in the amount of 480 thousand euros.

These investments aim to increase the security and quality of drinking water supply for citizens, reduce losses in the network, and improve the sustainability of the water supply system.

The Ministry of Economy will oversee the implementation of the agreement through the Unit for Policies and Monitoring of Public Enterprises, while the projects will be implemented by RWC “Bifurkacioni” j.s.c., in accordance with applicable legislation and standards of transparency and accountability.

The Ministry of Economy remains committed to supporting strategic investments in the water sector, with a focus on improving services for citizens and the sustainable development of public infrastructure throughout the country.
