Prishtina, 26.01.2024 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli visited the Landfill Management Company (LMCK), where she was received by the Chief Executive Officer of this company, Dardan Velija, as well as by its management staff.

Minister Rizvanolli expressed her satisfaction with the good work that is being done in this company, which is on the way towards sustainable development and providing new and innovative services.

“From a challenging history and no investments since 2008, now the revenues have increased significantly while expenses have decreased and the net profit for 2023 has reached over 700 thousand euro. Therefore, realizing this progress, today we are signing the decision on the establishment of the working group for the preparation of the terms of reference for the consultancy in the preparation of the feasibility study for the waste separation point in the sanitary landfill of Gjilani”, said Minister Rizvanolli .

She also thanked the landfill management team as well as Dr. Ludwg Streff, team leader of enforcement measures for the planning of new landfills and the closure of existing landfills.

From there, the head of the ME invited all professionals to apply for the open position of the Director of the LMCK Board , which is open until 20 February 2024, and added that with the will to work, we can develop even more this company to serve the citizens as well as possible.
