Prishtina, 29.04.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli met with the representatives of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, accompanied by the German Deputy Ambassador, Jan-Axel Voss, and the Director of the Committee, Michael Harms, on which occasion they discussed about the potential offered by the markets of both countries for cooperation and economic development.

The Committee delegation informed the Minister about the scope of the Committee and their interest in deepening cooperation with Kosovo.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli informed the Committee about the scope of the Ministry where she shared with the delegation the opportunities that Kosovo offers to investors, especially in the energy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, a sector that is an excellent example of the motivation and skills of Kosovo youth.

In particular, the Minister informed the representatives about the digital infrastructure and about the 5G Pilot Project that is being developed by the Ministry of Economy.

Moreover, the potential support of Germany, especially in the provision of vocational trainings for young people, was discussed.

The Minister emphasized that Kosovo has an excellent and motivated youth, and the ICT sector is a good example of how this sector has managed to train youth and prepare them for the labour market.

At the end, Minister Rizvanolli thanked the delegation and emphasized that Germany is and continues to be an important partner of Kosovo.
