The Concept Document on Renewable Energy Sources is approved

Prishtina, 29.12.2021 – The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, at its 52nd meeting, has approved today the Concept Document on Renewable Energy Sources, proposed by the Ministry of Economy.

One of the main priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, from the priorities set out in the Program of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo 2021-2025, is the creation of conditions for sustainable economic development, which is aimed to be achieved through clean and affordable technology and energy.

This concept document aims to achieve the improvement of the legal infrastructure in order to increase the supply of clean energy, increase the security of energy supply, promote technological innovation and provide opportunities for employment and regional development through the clean energy industry.

The purpose of renewable energy policies is to promote the economic and sustainable use of local potentials of renewable energy sources, in order to meet energy needs, increase security of supply and protect the environment.
