Prishtina, 15.12.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli together with representatives of her Cabinet, the Department of Energy of ME, as well as experts engaged in drafting the Energy Strategy 2022-2031, including the expert Dr Laszlo Sabos, received in a meeting the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli together with her team presented to the present MPs the vision that guides the Strategy and the work that has been done so far.

In this meeting were invited the members of the Committee on Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, the members of the Committee on Environment, Food, Agriculture, Planning and Development, as well as the chairpersons of other committees.

After the presentations by Minister Rizvanolli, the expert who leads the Working Group for drafting the Strategy, Dr Sabos, as well as the Head of the Department of Energy in the Ministry of Economy, Luan Morina, all attendees discussed and expressed their questions about this process.

The discussion included topics of inter-institutional cooperation, decarbonization, studies that are being done along with the drafting of the Strategy, security of short-term and medium-term supply, etc.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of ME, Artane Rizvanolli thanked all those present and promised to keep them informed and updated with the developments of the energy sector so that the Strategy which will determine Kosovo’s energy path for the coming decades to be as comprehensive and well-informed as possible.
