Minister Rizvanolli received in a meeting the EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Tomáš Szunyog

Prishtina, 21.10.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, received in a meeting the EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Tomáš Szunyog, and the Head of the EU Office for Cooperation in Kosovo, Luigi Brusa.

Minister Rizvanolli and Ambassador Szunyog discussed the developments in the energy sector in Kosovo, as well as about our objectives, which are in line with those of the EU, towards de-carbonization and compatibility with the Green Deal.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli said that these objectives must be achieved as soon as possible, with a realistic planning. The Minister also added that Kosovo’s energy future should be based on technical achievement, as well as financial affordability for Kosovo and its citizens and businesses.

Further during the meeting, the Ambassador expressed to the Minister the EU support for the Kosovo Energy Strategy towards de-carbonization, which will be drafted by the Government of Kosovo.
