Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Rizvanolli visit Trepça

Prishtina, 20.10.2021 – Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, as well as the Deputy Minister of Economy, Mentor Arifaj, today visited the “Trepça” Enterprise.

During the visit, Prime Minister Kurti, Minister Rizvanolli, Deputy Minister Arifaj, as well as the head of the Monitoring Unit of Public Enterprises, Besim Imeri, met with the Chairperson of the Interim Board and the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the enterprise.

During the meeting, the Acting Chief Executive Officer informed in detail the representatives of the Government about the situation and the latest developments in Trepça.

During the visit, Prime Minister Kurti mentioned that the Government Kurti 1 has allocated over 7 million euros for Trepça. Regarding the next two years, the Prime Minister has mentioned that the Government of Kosovo will allocate at least 70 million euros for Trepça, which is at the center of economic development through the Sovereign Fund Project, which is under development.

Further, Prime Minister Kurti expressed support for the Interim Board of Trepça led by Bahri Hyseni and the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Enis Abdurahmani and pledged that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will address the issue of working conditions in Trepça.

During the press conference regarding the organized violence against the Acting Executive Director, Prime Minister Kurti said that “As Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, I pledge that there will be no individual or group more powerful than the state. ”Those who, as individuals or as groups, want to be more powerful than the state, they are against the law and the constitutionality in our country.”
